 Parent Information...
Please read the following:

This is a reminder of our school procedures regarding items being dropped off for students in the main office at Heineman Middle School. 
The main office has two call downs a day
 9am and 1pm

Heineman understands that students may forget homework or school related items and having a parent bring these to school is perfectly fine.  Please understand that we will not interrupt classroom instruction or academic progress for these items to be given to the appropriate student.

Additionally, if a student has called home for a parent to bring an item to school, he/she is always welcome to pick it up during passing periods throughout the day.  The students can also come down during their lunch period to pick up any dropped off items.  Otherwise, the students will be called down at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

PRE-ARRANGED ABSENCES
If you know your child is going to be absent in advance please contact the office as soon as possible so your child can get a "request for homework absence sheet" 

To request homework if your child is sick please contact the study hall teacher by 9:00 am.

BIRTHDAY TREATS
Birthday lunch treats brought to Heineman should be limited to just your child. The large quantities of pizzas, soda, and desserts being brought in during lunch periods are causing an unnecessary disturbance in our cafeteria. Thank you for honoring this request and keeping your child's treat just for him/her to enjoy.

Be Respectful... Be Responsible... Be Involved

Daily Announcements
Wednesday 10/1/14:

This is a reminder to all students and parents that all students staying after school are to be attending a specific club/activity or event. Students whom stay after school to "hangout" with friends in the supervision room will be sent home immediately. 

An involved student will stay after school to cheer on our sports teams. A respectful and responsible student will make good choices and cheer FOR Heineman and not against our opponents.

Congratulations to the 8th grade girls for winning all 6 sets they played against Creekside yesterday. In the B game, serving was they key as Samantha DeLeonardo seved 7 in a row and Emily Kanabrocki served 9 in a row to help win the 1st set, followed up by Maritz Alberto with 7 serves in a row and Gina Strauss with 12 straight serves to close out the 2nd set. In the A game, serving played a huge role in the victory with Zoe Strepek serving 13 out of 25 points in game 1 and Loren Alberts serving 12 out of 25 points in game 2. Marissa Deem led the teams with 7 kills. Come out to see the girls take on Northwood at home on Thursday!

Attention all 7th and 8th grade students interested in trying out for cheerleading - there will be an informational meeting TODAY  in the auditorium at 2pm. 

Attention cast of Aladdin:  Wednesday is a girls only rehearsal.  Please make arrangements for rides to pick you up at 3:45.  Also, we will be taking our cast yearbook picture on Friday, please remember to wear your cast t-shirt!

7th grade Social this Friday 7-9.  Come hang out with your friends!  Ice Cream, Candy, Chips will be available.  Hope to see you there!!!

Attention 8th grade boys interested in playing basketball.  There will be a short informational meeting next Tuesday October 7th at 2:00 in Mr. Goglin’s room E204.                                       

Hey Heineman... Do you like T-shirts, pizza, candy, ice cream, Heineman Hawk bracelets or video game posters? Guess what's baaaaack??? That's right Friday office Hawkeye Drawings! If you have any extra Hawkeyes and would like a chance to win some really cool prizes, just put a few Hawkeyes in the big blue bin in the main office. Mr. Gillette will draw 5 lucky winners twice a month beginning this Friday. The more Hawkeyes you put in the bin the more chances you have to win. All you have to do is Celebrate Success by Being Respectful, Being Responsible and Being Involved and getting those Hawkeyes in the blue bin.

Attention Student Council – This Thursday’s meeting is for the following committees: Citizenship, School Store, and Photography.  The meeting will be held in Mrs. Smith’s room – and will end at 3:30.  Please let Mrs. Smith know if you are unable to attend.  Also, see Mrs. Smith for a sweatshirt order form.  

Attention Service Club members. If you haven’t already done so, please pick up your hours forms from Miss Morgan at 2:15 any day this week. Please check your email and sign up for selling concessions at upcoming Heineman events or see Miss Morgan. Please see Miss Morgan if you are interested in assisting with Mackeben Market Day on October 7 from 4:30-6:00.

Attention Ecology Club members!  Our next meeting will be held on Friday, October 3, from 2:30-3:45.  We’ll meet in the choir room then go outside to work in the garden.  Please bring a snack for yourself and a change of clothes. 

Attention all students: Are you missing your lunch box or jacket?  Be sure to check lost and found for any missing items!

This is a reminder that students are only allowed to ride their assigned bus route home from school. Any student that does not choose to ride their assigned bus route home needs to make other arrangements to be picked up at the end of the school day.

Attention all students: The office WILL NOT give out change. If you are purchasing something you MUST have the correct change or you will not be able to purchase it.

Attention all students: There should be no food or drinks leaving the cafeteria. Everything should either be eaten during lunch or thrown in the garbage. Please only purchase what you can eat during your lunch period.

Reminder…please NO electronic games, mp3 players, iPods, SONY PSP wireless games, cameras, etc. should be brought to school.  Please leave them at home.

ALL CELL PHONES MUST STAY IN YOUR LOCKERS!!!”

Cell phones shouldn’t be seen, heard, or used during school hours.
